Is your feature request related to a problem or unsupported use case? Please describe.
I believe that the experience of using Notion is awesome because of the databases it allows things as different as :

• creating a Kanban board
• mapping your organisation to entities linking them together and providing infinite options of navigation, filtering, views, ...

Describe the solution you'd like
Same as Notion would make sense I guess 😅

Describe alternatives you've considered
Tables & Links can be an alternative, but you would abandon DRY principles

Discovery, Documentation, Adoption, Migration Strategy
This would allow people to migrate from Notion

More seriously. You could explore https://try-blocksuite.vercel.app/starter?init ( /db )that have a nice database component and see if you can hack together a BlockNotejs custom block so that we can offer databases to our users.

I am actually looking to use a notion like page in Grist (or the other way around - using a grist database in docs) because I find the markdown widget too limiting to manage technical and compliance documentation in Grist like I used to do in Notion.

Such documentation really benefits from mixing structured and unstructured data when building an ISMS, a record of processing activities, a service desk or to support auditing work.

I am thinking of a rather simpler use case to start with:
-Embed the Grist widget in the docs page (https://support.getgrist.com/embedding/)
-Create a widget for Grist to display the right page on the right record by retrieving its url in a column - or directly add a message listener in docs to implement a grist widget like API for other alternative to use
-Everything happens in the client using local authentication.

I cannot fund the feature but I have expertise with React, next.js and Grist widgets so I might be able to build it if someone can onboard me on Docs codebase.

I am being speculative but if we can demonstrate the public interest of the feature by using it to build an accessible data protection management template on Grist and Docs, we might just be able to get funds from CNIL, ANSSI or non profits in data protection to sustain and improve each projects.

CNIL actually initiated such work with an ODF template which is far from accessible and the only thing that misses to Grist to do better is a little help from Docs :-)

Next to Grist integration, another approach could be to find a workflow that leverages Django Admin somehow.
