pdf file opening errors with 3.5 & 3.6 versions

SumatraPDF errors when opening some my PDF files. This began happening with version 3.5.x & 3.6.x (or somewhere from 3.1.x) . I had to reinstall 3.1.2 64-bit version to get through taxes because the newer versions does not open pdfs generated from quicken and others. Version 3.1.2 64-bit always works. Happening on Windows10 and I think remember it also happening on Windows11 on another PC.
