Start batch file from folder

Is there any way to start bat file from SumatraPDF folder without path or use environment variable for ExternalViewers?

hmm SumatraPDF will either launch a browser or any "Qualified" external command via ExternalViewers so basically NOT Windows Environmentals at present.
HOWEVER the batch file can use Windows environmentals so any VBS or HTA or EXE or CMD can do whatever that is supposed to do outside SumatraPDF.

Yeah, but is it possible to open this file from SumatraPDF folder without path?
Wold be nice to have possibility to call SumatraPDF.exe path to open those files. Is it possible?

I think I know what your asking but the one hard rule is SumatraPDF does not allow relative addresing for security concerns.

So you cannot use ..\ to mean parent folder nor run a command in current folder it must be a known "qualified" command so c:\windows\blah is still dangerous but it is "absolute" thus if you KNOW SumatraPDF is in your user dir you can RUN c:\users\r5to\wherever\something.ext or as I often do when installed call "C:\Program Files\SumatraPDF\SumatraPDF.exe" blah blah blah

So maybe it would be possible to add hardcoded folder (sumatra_folder) to load files?

Is it insecure in any way? You can call any app anyway.

I have asked for similar several times and if you simply "echo %cd%" curent location you will find it is constantly changing thus UNknown. One minute it may have been "documents" another time "desktop" another time a network or thumb drive,

Basically the external viewers is down to Windows "last used" location. that is why I am always looking for a way without using Linux to overcome the OS behaviours.

Thus the only location SumatraPDF ACCEPTS for a viewer is a STATIC location included with the app name on a "known" path..
