Interactive tutorial dev server crashes page on safari on macos

Describe the bug

Trying to follow along the interactive tutorial on the mac neo, I noticed the page would refresh a few times before crashing. It seems to be caused by the dev server on the bottom of the right as it gets stuck on loading before refreshing the page, ultimately crashing.

This causes solves and textedit sections to reset and clear.

Reproduction

Load any kit tutorial page such as the intro. Wait for dev server to load.

It makes it difficult to read along and learn the tools in the interactive manner the page was intended to be used. I know. Unsure if this is the right place to report this issue.

Interesting that it doesn’t work on a Macbook Neo. Unfortunately, this is a limitation of WebContainers but we thought it only affected iOS. I wonder if it’s some memory limitation that causes it to affect the new Macbook too. In the iOS case, we sniff the user agent and avoid loading the interactive tutorial so that the page doesn’t crash. Maybe we should do the same for the Macbook Neo if possible

Ah interesting, the Neo is using an iPhone 16 chip instead of the standard M series so that could explain it perhaps?

In any case I'll check other browsers to see if there's a workaround.

Yeah, that might be the reason. It'll be very interesting if it only happens on Safari. It'll also be a bit more difficult to sniff if someone is using a Macbook Neo as the user agent string is pretty generic. e.g., "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/26.4 Safari/605.1.15"

hmm interesting, confirming that the dev server does load on Chrome on the same Neo. Seemingly isolated to safari at this moment.
