Internationalization Support

It may be beneficial to consider adding internationalization (i18n) support to the macOS tray app. This could enhance accessibility for users who prefer to use the app in their native language.

Additionally, considering that when Syncthing runs in a browser, it will automatically set the user's native language (if supported). This would also avoid that disparity.

Would it be possible to implement this without adding too much complexity?

I can't speak for this project and I don't know anything about MacOS development. But of course you're welcome to use the core project's translation service on Hosted Weblate to manage the process once it is integrated into the app's code. The greatest benefits will be an existing user base of translators and being able to easily correlate and re-use common string translations.

@xor-gate would you mind following the steps here to enable automatic pulling of each upstream commit by Weblate?

And then we need to define how you want changes from Weblate fed back for upstream integration. I'd say we have good experience with automated PRs in other related components. But there are some caveats to consider, namely that Weblate could be choking on some Git conflicts if set to rebase its own changes onto your v2 branch, while PRs end up there as squash commits.

Alright, I've unlocked the thing and we already have a PR for German translations: #281, although it's not yet completed. Changes will be pushed 70 hours after the last change usually, unless someone with repository maintenance access hits the "Push" button earlier.

I've adapted the commit messages generated by Weblate to match the conventional commit style that our policy-bot expects. Though the rest of your commit history does not seem to follow it?

Hi @acolomb, i did not use the commit style because the policy bot was not enabled before. I merged the first weblate PR for german. Thanks for setting this up!

@xor-gate could you please look into the Webhook setup mentioned above? It's needed for Weblate to automatically pick up new commits from upstream. Currently, Weblate still shows that no notification was received. Feel free to ask if you are having trouble with the linked guide.

PR merged before I enabled it. So that is probably why.

Latest commits positively triggered the webhook. So I guess this issue can be closed since we have Weblate up and running.
