The offline file cimbar_js.html is over 1 MB in size,it’s quite large. Is there any way to make it even smaller?

I’m using the offline version of cimbar_js.html, and it works really, really well! However, I have to manually type in the entire HTML file to transfer it into an air-gapped internal network. Because the file is so big, this process is extremely tedious.

Could you possibly trim it down a bit more? For example, by removing non-essential features and keeping only the core functionality?

That's pretty remarkable, and I'll refrain from asking why it has to be entered manually...

There are definitely changes we could make to reduce binary (in this case emscripten "binary") size. I'm not sure how many of them are quick changes though. I can look into it when I get a chance.

I imagine you'd already doing this, but just so we're on the same page: gzip (or similar compression) + base64 (to still be able to type it) would save you ~40% in this (painful) process.

(also: you're asking about the encoder here, but reducing the size of the android apk for the decoder is something I've wanted to tackle for a while as well. But that one is still going to be pretty big even with the best optimizations)
