Virtual Recycle Bin Add-on Question

Is there a way to stop Tablacus from creating the Virtual Recycle Bin (delete files) folder when deleting from a USB drive. Currently I do have "Removable Drive" UNCHECKED, but it still creates the folder/files when deleting from a USB drive or SD Card.

I do have Network Drive" still checked as I do need that to still function.

Install the patched version to solve the problem.

You must use TE 25.6.8 as the base version and run a command script to patch it. Steps:

1. Install a new copy of TE250608.
2. Delete the addons folder from the new copy.
3. Copy addons and config (and icons, if any) folders from your current TE to the new copy.
4. From Command Prompt:
   i. Run Patch.cmd or PatchAdd.cmd with the path of the new copy.
   ii. If you want to turn off WebView2 extension, go to the directory of the new copy and run SwitchWebView2.cmd OFF.

After that can I then upgrade back to 26.2.2, which is what I am on and using now?
Also what would switching off Webview2 provide or change?

No. MOST patched version of the add-ons need the patched version of TE, and vice versa.

If you want to keep on 26.2.2, you can replace "Virtual Recycle Bin" add-on with the patched version. It is a few patched add-on that can work on official TE.

Delete the "version" file in the patch and re-try.

Okay, just so I am clear, I should just be able to run the patch on my current version? If so, will that have any affect on my updating when a new version is released or any add-on updates?

No. Patch.cmd and PatchAdd.cmd can only be run on TE 25.6.8. They will change it to a patched version. The patched version cannot be upgraded to any newer official TE release.

If you just concern "Virtual Recycle Bin" add-on, you can copy virtualrecyclebin folder from the patch package into your current version, since this version can run on both official and patched TE.
