Im using texstudio everyday, and the multi-selection tool is not acting as expected.
Environment
Expected behavior
This is the accurate process of multi select
First Step : I use CTRL+D to multi-select what i want :
Step 2 :
If i use the left array All cursors should go directly the the beginning of the selected items
OR
If i use the right arrow, all cursors should go to then end of the selected items (and not beyond)
THEN step 3 :
here i can go through or beyond with my lest/right arrow as i wish
BUT Step 4 :
If i want : I should be able to recover my selects by CTRL+D, this recovers should not ADD one more
Thats why each time i reselect with CTRL+D i should be able choose again to go to the start or the end of each item.
BUT Step 5 :
If i want to add one more item to my selected items, if they are all already slected the next CTRL+D will select one more, but if all items are not reselected the CTRL+D will first reselect them
A step 6 Bonus :
Once the last select is at the bottom, the next selection could start at the top
Now here is what i said about the multi select status option
Because when you do multiselect, and you do not see the whole items because you have a tall page, it should be very very great to know if your CTRL+D had selected one more item and how many items selected you have.
Actual behavior
You can compare with vscode, i know the purpose is not to build another vscode, but their multiselect process is completely accomplished and provides total control very pleasant to use.
Texstudio multiselect is incomplete and not acting well. It's very uncomfortable and unpleasant to use it daily. If you seldom use it you cannot feel it.
