Feature Request: Save to eml file

A save to eml file format option would be great

This is actually a thing we can do with the new database format, and relatively easily. However displaying .eml files is a larger thing to implement (#733), so I wonder if write support is a good idea before we can also display such files...

I would be fine gaining the option and waiting for a viewer. The main thing is being able to eml emails to extSdCard. Right now I use webmail/syncthing to achieve this.

The second of two small improvements is really interesting and got me my .eml file quickly.

I tried the share route too, it saves an text view. I actually needed the "*.eml" on another machine so forwarding as an attachment was the better solution.

Neither outlook nor gmail, to name some widespread e-mail client, support saving an e-mail to .eml (or even else) format.

I believe this would be a very interesting feature, even without implementing an .eml display feature.

Desktop outlook can just drag to any folder or desktop to save as a file.

Desktop Web for both outlook and gmail have save button for email.

Since it's already technically possible to save as a file using the workaround of forwarding as attachment, might as well make it easier for the users that needed it.

Is it possible to share eml file? I would like the ability to import eml files into https://apps.kde.org/itinerary/. I can receive email events and the application parses everything.

fyi, .eml export got merged for debug builds and behind a flag: #9964

I have the same use case as @hungrymonkey. would like to import my bookings into KDE itinerary. The current workaround of sending the mail to myself as an attachment is a bit wonky.

What stops us from making #9964 generally available instead of debug builds only? Ping @wmontwe for visibility
