From Ming to Chip is an interactive data-driven installation that transforms Shenzhen’s GDP growth (1990–2013) into a kinetic 3D printed sculpture. The project explores how abstract economic transformation can be translated into tangible experience. GDP values were encoded into geometric surface of a digitally fabricated Ming-inspired vase.

A parameterized 8-bit computer designed from the ground up in Verilog HDL. The project is developed using a complete RTL design workflow including simulation, linting, synthesis, Sky130 technology mapping, area estimation, static timing analysis, cocotb self-checking testbenches and post synthesis GLS 🖥️.
