This proposal is for a TKL appliance that is preconfigured as a infrastructure fileserver appliance, but specifically for providing a mirror for software (such as TKL and/or other open source software).

Inclusions:

http server (Apache probably)
ftp server (ProFTPd probably - it has a webmin module already in the TKL repo)
rsync server

inithooks for:

upstream server to mirror (TKL mirrors as option?)
option to set to just be http/ftp/rsync fileserver?
default mirror sync check time (with a sane and reasonable default...)
optional private mirror config? (default to public)
mount external filesystem (for storage)?
