A slim down version of Plate JS is used in Everything Ebooks as the editor for authors/writers.
Plate has proved to be very adaptable and reliable, and understandable by Claude Code too.

All of this and Vercel has made it possible to offer a FREE suite of writing and publishing tools for authors, as well as a more immersive way to read and listen to ebooks. And it's can be used totally offline - no accounts, no sign in, no tracking, local browser storage so no cloud; just you and your writing.
