While browsing the codebase and noticed that only head and tail use [FLAG] in their usage strings, whereas most other utilities use [OPTION] or [OPTIONS].
Is there a reason for this distinction? Is [FLAG] meant to convey something different semantically, or is this just a historical inconsistency?
