Duplicate entries in API response when selecting waypoint

Hi, I noticed this issue on the website. When searching for a waypoint, there were duplicate entries in the API response. The same was reflected in the UI. I could not find the backend repo so raising the issue here.

I guess that's a common problem with OSM admins.

Though it is a nominatin issue , since it directly affects the UI, I went for a client side fix in PR #407

opening again, bcs of #407 , which kinda makes sense to me UX-wise.
