docs: rewrite 1.4.4 changelog in customer voice

Customers do not care about file paths, hook names, refactor mechanics,
or internal CSS specificity wars. The 1.4.4 readme entry is now written
the way a community owner would read it: what works, what got better,
what was broken and is now fixed. Code-level detail stays in the Dev
section where it belongs.
