Hidden Gem Submission

Adding asqav under a new Governance subcategory in AI and Agents.

What is asqav?

asqav is a Python SDK for AI agent governance. It provides audit trails, policy enforcement, and compliance tooling specifically for the EU AI Act and DORA regulation. It integrates natively with LangChain, CrewAI, OpenAI Agents, and MCP.

Why it belongs here

There is currently no governance tooling listed in the AI and Agents section. As AI agents become production workloads, governance becomes essential - audit trails for agent decisions, policy enforcement before actions execute, and compliance documentation for regulators. asqav is the only open-source Python library focused specifically on this problem.

Hidden Gem justification

  • Solves a niche problem elegantly: No other Python library provides governance tooling (audit trails + policy enforcement + compliance) for AI agents
  • Real-world usage: Designed for EU AI Act and DORA compliance, targeting regulated industries (finance, healthcare) deploying AI agents
  • Active development: Consistent commits, latest push today, created January 2026
  • Production-ready: Available on PyPI (pip install asqav), MIT licensed, Python >=3.10
  • Strong integrations: Works with LangChain, CrewAI, OpenAI Agents, MCP - the major orchestration frameworks already listed in this section
