Project Abstract

A web browser that integrates Polkadot network capabilities and crypto mining/staking and requires a multi-layered architecture. This solution prioritizes speed, security, and seamless blockchain integration.

Grant level

  • Level 1: Up to $10,000, 2 approvals
  • Level 2: Up to $30,000, 3 approvals
  • Level 3: Unlimited, 5 approvals (for >$100k: Web3 Foundation Council approval)

Application Checklist

  • The application template has been copied and aptly renamed (project_name.md).
  • I have read the application guidelines.
  • Payment details have been provided (Polkadot AssetHub (USDC & DOT) address in the application and bank details via email, if applicable).
  • I understand that an agreed upon percentage of each milestone will be paid in vested DOT, to the Polkadot address listed in the application.
  • I am aware that, in order to receive a grant, I (and the entity I represent) have to successfully complete a KYC/KYB check.
  • The software delivered for this grant will be released under an open-source license specified in the application.
  • The initial PR contains only one commit (squash and force-push if needed).
  • The grant will only be announced once the first milestone has been accepted (see the announcement guidelines).
  • I prefer the discussion of this application to take place in a private Element/Matrix channel. My username is: @_______:matrix.org (change the homeserver if you use a different one)

@kunaalhere thanks for your interest in our grants program.
When applying, you're supposed to add only one (1) single document. However, in your case multiple documents have been added. Pls remove all documents besides your application document.

Hi @kunaalhere you seem to be attempting to open both an RFP and an application at the same time. Creating an RFP isn't necessary in this case if you are planning to apply for it right away anyway. Can you remove this file and leave the application open?

@keeganquigley Yes, done that... I've replaced the RFP file with the Grant Application file according to the format... How do i take this forward...??

@kunaalhere you're correct in that the file text is replaced, but you are trying to submit the file in two different places. You'll need to remove it so there is only one prowser.md file being added to the applications folder. Also the above PR description needs to be replaced with grants template instead of the RFP template.

@keeganquigley @semuelle @takahser I have emailed the grants and Sebastian with the details. The initial repository with core logic and code is available as a private repository to which collaboration requests have been sent. Please review.

Dear @kunaalhere, thank you for the updates. Unfortunately, the application is still not in a shape that's reviewable by the committee.

  • The specification of the default deliverables are still based on the application template
  • The other deliverables have no spec
  • You did not specify a DOT percentage
  • The Prowser repo is not open source and shows one significant commit after the initial commit. That is not proof of experience in open source software development.

Beyond that, it's not clear at all who would use this product. Please provide evidence of the "extensive research" and "comprehensive gap analysis using identification methodologies" you conducted. Otherwise, I will close this PR.

@semuelle i will keep the project open source with code availability based on when the code is required for review... Unless, you require me to keep it open source any which way...

All deliverables have been listed, the project is under development and any additions of features to the source code have been clearly listed.

Also, please explain what this means... " The specification of the default deliverables are still based on the application template "... Would you like me to share with you the List of Deliverables that is not based on the application template...but the one used as the development plan?

Both milestones have a list of deliverables. The tables list a name and a specification for each deliverable. You did not adapt the specification of the default deliverables to your project and did not provide any specification for the ones you added yourself.

@kunaalhere since the application has been open for a while without getting any traction, the grants committee decided to not go ahead with your proposal. We would like to thank you for your interest in our grants program and wish you all the best of the future of your project!

Please explain what this means... I'm unsure of why the project files have been made available open source for over 3 days now...

@semuelle, Yes... But, not all the deliverables have required comments on them... I'm unsure of what you're getting at with this... I have absolutely added my project specifications for your reference. If you'd like I'll email you a copy of the Grant Proposal...
