Describe the bug
After updating to version v0.2025.03.05.08.02.stable_02 on macOS, I'm experiencing an issue with command snippets when connected to remote devices. When I attempt to use a snippet while already connected to a remote device via SSH, instead of the command being pasted, I receive a red notification popup stating "A command in this session is still running."
This breaks my workflow with remote device management, as I frequently need to execute commands on remote devices after establishing an SSH connection. In previous versions, this worked without issue.
To reproduce
- Update to Warp version v0.2025.03.05.08.02.stable_02 on macOS
- Create snippet for a command to run on the remote device (e.g., "Restart service xyz")
- Connect to your remote device with ssh
- After successful connection, attempt to use the snippet
- Observe the red notification popup stating "A command in this session is still running" instead of pasting the command
Expected behavior
The snippet should paste the command as it did in previous versions, regardless of whether an SSH session is active.
Screenshots, videos, and logs
No response
Operating system (OS)
macOS
Operating system and version
macOS 15.2
Shell Version
No response
Current Warp version
No response
Regression
Yes, this bug started recently or with an X Warp version
Recent working Warp date
No response
Additional context
I had been using a considerably older version before updating - I received a red popup notification warning that my Warp was outdated and needed updating, or some features would stop working. The version jump might be relevant to understanding this regression in functionality. Thanks.
Does this block you from using Warp daily?
No
Is this an issue only in Warp?
Yes, I confirmed that this only happens in Warp, not other terminals.
