gapi.auth2 and Chrome Extension Incompatibility

Looks gapi.auth2 does not support Chrome Extensions.

Alternatives include: Chrome.identity and Firebase Auth.

If anyone can incorporate Chrome.Identity, that would make the application functional as a Chrome Extension.
