How to set the filename output?

I am exploring the Jest migration in our main application. I have noticed this warning:

× Conflict: Multiple assets emit different content to the same filename translation.es.json

You may need to adjust output.filename configuration to prevent name conflicts. (See https://rsbuild.rs/config/output/filename)

We load translation files with the same name, but many of them. (think of hundreds of translation.es.json files).

And I see in rstest the config does not allow controlling such a setting:

    output?: Pick<NonNullable<RsbuildConfig['output']>, 'cssModules' | 'externals' | 'cleanDistPath' | 'module'>;

How do I address it?

Thanks for the report.

Based on Rsbuild’s output.filename docs, the default value for output.filename.assets includes contenthash, so in theory two files named translation.es.json should not conflict under the default config: Rsbuild docs

Could you share a minimal reproduction repo with your rstest.config.*, rsbuild.config.* (if any), the duplicated JSON files, and the exact import style (?url, new URL(...), etc.)? That will help confirm whether this is an rstest bug or a config-specific asset emission case.

ugh I am sorry for this, probably one of the iteration in the rstest.config.js gave this override

							resourceQuery: /file/,
							type: 'asset/resource',
							generator: {
								filename: '[name][ext]',
							},
						},

And ofc we import files like this import es from './translations/translation.es.json?file'

I have changes it to filename: '[name][contenthash][ext]', and the problems is gone 👍🏿
