These changes extends support to mongodb v8, while still supporting mongodb down to and including 4.2.

There is a v7, but it only has the initial 7.0.0 release and would rather hold off till it has matured. (It doesn't provide any additional support)
This also skips the addOn tests, as we're not supporting that feature anymore.
