What happened?

I was not able to configure the bottonTab at IOS 26, not backgroundColor, not drawbehind, nothing works : (

What was the expected behaviour?

I was able to control the style and behavior also at iOS 26

Was it tested on latest react-native-navigation?

• I have tested this issue on the latest react-native-navigation release and it still reproduces.

drawBehind definitely works FWIW

I also encountered a similar problem, which was the issue of the UI activating the icon when switching tabs.
However, by adding the following content in the info.plist file, this problem can be temporarily resolved.

/true
“ Remember to add the tags. The tags have been removed by the input box.
Turned off the glass style. This can solve the problem temporarily.
It is hoped that this issue can be truly resolved in the future.

I'm on the same train, I thought that by now they have that resolved, but indeed, it ignores most of the properties. I wonder how ppl are implementing it, cos they just released the search bar like on iOS, but that's totally useless if we cannot properly configure the bottom tabs. Maybe they just haven't updated their docs? (hopefully)

@markdevocht , thanks a lot ? Did we will have a way to deal with transparent bottom tab margin for scroll views to not be behind the top bar or we will need to add margin over all screens ?

@IsaacIsrael There's a little test-app in the root folder that demonstrates a basic setup. You can see there how it's done.

@markdevocht bottomTab.selectedTextColor is no longer properly applied after I upgraded from react-native-navigation 8.7.5 to 8.7.6...it seems to be the default blue no matter what

Quite frankly I'm not sure why your PR was needed or why this issue was created. I have all the liquid glass bottom tab stuff working just fine and looking great on 8.7.5
