LED's strobe and effect goes to "Copy Segment" (was "Meteor smooth" in previous versions)

What happened?

While running a preset it goes to "Copy Segment" even though that effect is not in my preset list. This causes my LED's to strobe.

To Reproduce Bug

Run a preset and wait for the LED's to randomly start strobbing.

Expected Behavior

The effect does not go to "Copy Segment" and the LED's do not strobe.

• unfortunately your screenshot does not show all effect sliders, so we can't see how "copy segment" is set up. Maybe provide your presets.json and cfg.json so we can try to reproduce.
• wled sync is enabled - could it be that another wled in your network is in control?

Just to repeat, the "Copy Segment" effect is NOT in my preset, so I don't understand why wled would select this effect in the first place.

@remixmark presets use effect IDs - "copy segment" has ID=77, which was used by "Meteor Smooth" in WLED 0.15.x. Maybe this explains why you see an unexpected effect?

Yup, I bet that’s it then! I had meteor smooth in my preset. I deleted it just now based on your comment. I’ll keep an eye on it tomorrow and close this bug if it doesn’t happen.

@remixmark in a nutshell:

• go to settings => security & update
• find the section named "backup & restore"
• click on "backup presets" and "backup configuration" to download both files - PC or MAC recommended, because some android phones/tablets have problems with the download.

You can still use Meteor Smooth by using the Meteor effect (effect id 76) and then enabling the new "Smooth" checkbox/option.
