Enabling 2FA on self-hosted website makes it impossible to login on Android app

Expected behaviour

The Android app allows login even when the user has 2FA enabled through a third-party plugin on a self-hosted website.

Actual behaviour

The Android app does not allow any login and reports that the username or password are wrong even when they are, in fact, correct.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

1. Enable 2FA using a plugin like WP2FA or Two Factor
2. Try to login from the Android app

Tested on Pixel 6 Pro, Android 13, JPAndroid / WPAndroid 23.0

It should be noted that disabling the 2FA makes the app work as expected. Using an application password does not work. According to the developer of WP2FA, the application password is managed by WordPress directly, which means it should theoretically work.
Is this issue then with the plugin or is it with the Android app itself?
