No user feedback when activating a theme from the theme browser

Expected behavior

Activating a theme from the theme browser should provide feedback to the user while the selected theme is loaded

Actual behavior

No feedback is provided to users until the theme is actually activated

Steps to reproduce the behavior

• Go to "My Site/Themes" to visualize the theme browser
• Select "Activate" from the meatball menu of any theme that is not already activated
• Wait to see the alert that announces the activated theme. Nothing happens in between

Hey @Gio2018, thanks for the ping! I haven't had a chance to take an in-depth look at this, but I have a proposal for something that might not require design work.

It looks like we have an existing "loading" component that perhaps we could reuse in this context. Here's the component I'm referring to:

In this context, I would show the component after the user has tapped Activate, then hide it and show the current Theme Activated Alert when it succeeds or fails.

What do you think about that? If it's not a great solution, I can try to pull something together or find another designer to devote some focus to it 😄

Wanted to share that the experience of no indication of asynchronous activity also occurs when previewing a theme. After one taps "Activate," the button disappears until the theme successfully activates, at which point it displays a disabled "Active" button.
