[Bug] Hitching issues for high bitrate/res video when v22.3.18-Piers used with plugin.video.youtube #2088

Description

@kuraikaze

Describe the problem

With inputstream.adaptive v22.3.18-Piers and high bitrate Youtube videos (1440p or 4k at 60 fps) played via plugin.video.youtube (v7.4.4) audio stutters/hitches occur soon after start of playback.
Frameskips start to occur and then, after a short while more, audio playback stops entirely.

Possible fix

Reverting to inputstream.adaptive v22.3.17-Piers causes playback to behave normally.

Steps to reproduce

With inputstream.adaptive v22.3.18-Piers installed play back a 1440p or greater 60fps video with plugin.video.youtube

(Issue observed on all playback of high res/bitrate Youtube videos, not just the logged example below)

Debug log

inputstream.adaptive v22.3.18-Piers
Paused 1 or 2 times to let queue fill and play till audio halt again.

inputstream.adaptive v22.3.17-Piers
"Clean" playback of same 1440p/60 video for comparison.

Additional info

The audio drops/stutters only occur on 1440p/60 & 2160p/60 videos: -
with the playerdebug OSD up I see that video starts with 0% videoqueue, and the audio hitches amd frame skips occur when (presumably) the current chunk ends and a new has to be fetched.
Pausing the video causes the queue to be fetched/filled up to 100%, but once play is started again it gradually dwindles back down to 0% once more.
Once it gets to zero the behaviour is somewhat erratic - sometimes it bumps along at zero (presumably just playing through a chunk, then fetching only the next one when that ends), sometimes it freezes video frame (frame skip count increments rapidly) and fetches a full 100% forward cache and resumes rendering again. It doesn't "top up" with any additional forward cache once rendering has continued though, so after a short while the whole cache has reduced to zero once more and the process repeats.
